My friend bought this motorbike and did some repairs on it as it had been involved in an accident. I really liked the look of the bike and being a 250cc which is legal for a learner to ride, I bought it off him, then I went out and got my license. Thats putting the cart before the horse. I am happy with the bike and I still own it.

The bike is a 1995 Honda VT, I will upgrade one day...to a Harley (thats on my bucket list)

In 2013 I took a course through the Motorcycle Safety Foundation. I had only been on the back of a motorcycle once in my life about 20 years before. Once I completed the course and received my motorcycle endorsement, I went shopping, I found a great starter bike, a used 2002 Honda Shadow Spirit. It have a few scratches and dings, but I new I would add more. :) This was a great choice and I rode it all over NJ, NY and PA.

In April of 2015, I upgraded and bought a brand new 2014 Triumph America LT and I love it. I've put nearly 10,000 miles on my new bike and rode her through 20 states and 2 countries.

Back when gas was over $3 per gallon, I realized I could buy a motorcycle and make the payments and fill the gas tank for less than I was already spending on my current truck at the time. So I bought a motorcycle and saved myself over $100 a month.

Bought, and rode a Kawasaki Ninja, until a pick-up truck took me out on the highway!

I believe my Martial Arts training (and some Angels) played a role in preventing any terrible injury.

Also, if you choose to get and ride a motorcycle, I suggest avoiding riding it in the rain - it is painful!

When I was a waitress I saw one of the busboys riding a motorcycle and asked if he would teach me.  He did on our break in the hotel parking lot (got in trouble for that with hotel).  Then I was hooked.  I was living with my grandpa at the time and he cosigned for me.  Later my Dad got interested and he bought one too and we used to go up in the park riding up hills.  I sold it when I went into the Army and when I got out I bought my Dad's bike and he got a bigger one.  As I got more mature I gave it up but my Dad said to hang on to my license.  So now I'm a 65 year old lady who still renews her motorcycle license.  You never know, a Spyder might be in my future.

Yeah, there is nothing like a ride on a motocross motorbike off-road, or a 800 Ducati on a decent street. A sense of freedom that is hardly to top...
