Well, to be fair, I wasn't actually in Africa, but I was on an African safari. Complete with kissing Giraffes, feeding tigers, and being up close and personal with various different types of African animals. Zebras, Emus, Lions, Panthers, Lemurs, you name it. I even held a giant snake (Can't remember the name of it but man it was huge). I got to watch the tigers splash around in a pool with the workers, and ride along in a buggy inside the animal shelters. Soooo much fun. I'll never forget it. I hope one day I'll get to experience a real African safari one day. August 28th 2013

While in Kenya, Africa on a mission trip in 2001, our group had a weekend outing where we went to a safari lodge.  We got to go out on two safari outings (and stayed in the lodge's fancy huts while we were there).  It was really pretty neat to see all the animals in their natural habitat and protected from animal poachers.

Always wanted to go on a safari and we finally went on our honeymoon. It was more than i expected and I would love to go again. We went to the Kruga National Park in South Africa. So special and we saw all of the big 5.

Go to a private animal reserve and take a couple of days simply reconnecting to nature by going on safari rides.

This experience was beyond imaginable. My family and I were extremely lucky with all the animals we were able to see. The lodge we went to, Rhino River Lodge, had amazing accomodation, food and very friendly staff. The rangers there made it possible for us to see nature in a whole different light, breath-takingly beautiful.

Since I live in South Africa, I have been on multiple African Safaris, witnessing the Big Five (Leopard, African Lion, African Elephant, Cape Buffalo and Rhinoceros). I highly recommend going on an African Safari as for most people, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Places I reccomend going is: Kruger National Park and Pilansberg Nature Reserve.
