So, as ever, it is music that brings my goals to life! Slane Castle for Foo Fighters and Kaiser Chiefs and 3 nights in Dublin. So little time to see anything and I definitely need to come back.

We had great weather almost every day and enjoyed the landscape on the bike and by long walks, mostly through national parks. Against many recommendations I did not like the Guinness Stout but in a little pub in Killarney we enjoyed the locally brewed Killarney Stout. :D We spent our time in Kerry - a beautiful county!

Went to Dublin with a good friend. Had an amazing time really liked the city and met a guy I thought was the one. Ended up going there a couple more times and seeing more of Ireland. The relationship fizzled out but the love of such a beautiful country is still there. Would love to explore more of Ireland, maybe a road trip in the future!

We stayed in Dublin and also went to the nearby countryside of County Wicklow.  Everyone was so friendly.  I would like to live in Ireland at some point, especially as I have Irish family.

I did. Twice, even! Thanks to my sister, who moved there a few years ago, and invited me over. Then she planned road trips - one year it was the north, and the second year - the south part of the island.

To say it was amazing would be an understatement.

A few pictures, first from the 2008 trip:

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/P1030881.jpg the Giant's Causeway

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/P1030906-1.jpg me, doing stupid faces at a pub

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/P1040054.jpg can't really remember what the hills were called, but the sights were amazing!

The 2009 trip:

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/IMG_0812-1.jpg Glendalough

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/IMG_0807-1.jpg Riverdance! We were -technically- allowed to use a camera to shoot photos but without flashes. (I said technically because some guy still flashed me in the eyes with a torch and reprimanded me :P I think he thought I was -filming- which wasn't allowed.)

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/IMG_0632.jpg O'Brien's tower

http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a77/domka191/IMG_0570-1.jpg Kylemore Abbey, first a castle, then a monastery, then boarding school until 2010, when the Sisters had to close it. Nowadays back to being a monastery.
