Vacation before Vegas was great. 5/5. But Vegs itself is overated and over priced. Nightlife isn't as great as made believe, everything is super expensive and changed for, everyone is loaded and therefor no one is important nor respected. It was good for relaxing, and enjoying free or not stupidly expensive stuff.  1. Casinos are okay but we don't get drinks often AT ALL;

2. For a 4 star hotel, I've never been treated worse. Neither have I for a no star hotel;

3. Very expensive;

4. Nighclubs are overcrowded and overpriced, you can't move and drinks are pricey, also very hard to get to the bar;

I've been to Vegas quite a few times and have had a blast each time. It's definitely a place to visit and I was ready to go home after each time but I'm always excited to go back. The stip is alot of fun but Freemont Street is where it's at, cheaper and just as fun. Though the shows on the strip can't be beat.

I've been many times to Las Vegas, at 10 when we saw Irene Ryan (Granny Clampett) with Maurice Chevalier, at 16 when we interacted with Bill Cosby stageside and Robert Goulet came into the audience and patted my head, with my husband, brother & sister-in-law, with my husband and parents and then many times with my husband.  But it wasn't until 2012 that I made it away from The Strip to hang out downtown when I went with my girlfriends, courtesy of Southwest buddy passes.

to branch away from that I booked a weekend trip to Las Vegas!! A high school friend moved there and has invited me to visit a few times so I took him up on it. I arrived via Allegiant Air straight from my home town at about 9:30pm. I had never had a drink on a flight before as I never saw the purpose. I decided since partying was what Vegas was known for, I should start with a drink so I got a Rum and Coke :D ! My friend's boyfriend picked me up and we walked around the strip, viewing the fountains at the Bellagio, random street vendors and the wonderful lit-up buildings. I ate at White Castle for the first time (which was horrible :( LOL ) and bought a cupcake from Sprinkles, one of the first cupcakeries. We retired for the night and I slept in a bit the next day to make sure we were prepared for the late nights we had planned for the next two days. We had registered for the Bubble Run 5k so we had to wait for about 2 hours in line for our packets and then ate an amazing hot dog with onion rings at Pinks on the strip. We walked around and enjoyed the sites until my friend's boyfriend was off work. Then we tried the Coca-Cola flight at the Coca-Cola store. You get to taste popular sodas from 16 different countries, some were very tasty but two I had to spit out because they were so bad! Then we hopped over to M&M World and I was amazed at the fact they had a wall covered with M&M's of every type and color you could imagine! We headed back to the house to get dolled up for the evening and returned to gamble a little at Caesars' Palace. Then we made our way to Divas, a female impersonating show that featured Shania Twain, Dolly Parton and Pink. We stopped at a bar called Piranha to see some of their friends before heading back for a good sleep since we had to be up early for the 5k. The next morning had heavy traffic and sadly not enough time to eat before the run...I know, not a good choice :( . It was a very hot day, perfect for the event. I wasn't so sure how good it would be because there were only a few areas they had the bubble machines. However when you did go through the bubbles you couldn't help but smile and laugh your butt off! Pink was the first station, green the next, then blue and last yellow. It colored your clothes and skin (washed out with not much effort) and we even made "foam angels" at the yellow station. We ate some subway to calm our stomachs and went back to clean up from the run. Then we headed out to the strip to buy tickets for a Zombie Burlesque show that evening. We decided to gorge ourselves at Gordon Ramsey's Burgr, which was amazing!!! I had a burger with duck breast bacon and a fried egg. One of the best burgers I have ever had! After that we made our way to Freemont street where I proceeded to lose the last bit of gambling money I had. I couldn't pass up the opportunity to accomplish another one of my bucket list items so we signed up for the zoomline experience (basically ziplining but in the superman position)! I was excited until it was our turn and then I started getting extremely anxious and concerned. I knew I just had to do it and couldn't hold back so when the wall dropped I pushed off like crazy! It was sooooo fun and exhilarating watching the people below shoot by and the wind in your face. I would certainly do it again :D. Off we went to the Burlesque show which was so so, not as risque as I was thinking it would be. We ended the night there and went to IHop for breakfast before I left in the morning. I had an amazing time and can't wait to go back...next time with a whole new list of wonderful!!
