Currently living in France to experience life on my own in another country and to learn French, it turns out that is is hard and is really frustrating but after the reward of being able to communicate easier is 100 percent worth it. I am also working on Spanish, Swedish, and maybe another small native language not sure yet, I'm thinking big mind you.

I learned Spanish through middle school and high school. Now in college I am learning American Sign Language. Spanish hasn't helped me so much, but I've gone to plenty of Deaf events where I was able to communicate with Deaf people through ASL alone.

When I moved to Norway I was obligated to learn Norwegian. Not so long after that, I became even more interested in languages and started to learn Spanish and French.

I want to learn a new language so that one day I will be able to go to a foreign place and speak to the local people there. Learning a new language will benefit me in many ways. I would like to learn French which would be additional to the langauges that I have already learnt.

Well, I'm brazilian and I have always loved the english idiom. From 2008 to 2013 I learned the language and now I'm a fluent. Of course, there's always more to learn, which is great, but this goal is already done. Now I intend to move on to a new language. French sounds great!

Language is a beautifully inefficient form of communication, yet it has led me on one of the most profound adventures in my academic career. What started off as a simple solution to an error in scheduling has pushed me to both exceed my bounds and become a more worldly person. I shan't forget the teachers that brought me this far, nor experiences like I-NITE that truly took me outside of my comfort zone.

I took up Japanese language as my language elective in college and it was fuuuuun! Although French would have been a better choice, I selected Japanese due to my interest in anime :D too bad I don't remember much of what I learned other than sayonara and the likes ;)

I guess the best parts were the greetings and writing in katakana and hiragana. :)

I took both German and French for my GCSE's, it is good to have another language to speak for jobs but also for when you go to a country where they speak that language. I started learning the two languages in year 8 and now I am in year 10, doing some of my GCSE languages this year! Next year I will have my results and I really hope I have passed, if not at least I know the languages👍🏼

We start learning English in 1st grade, but I couldn't speak it fluently until I went to the US as an exchange student in high school. I love languages, and the opportunities they give us!
