i have been trying to solve the rubik's cube for a week and half. i solved the face part in a couple of hours. then it took a few days to figure out the method. i had thought i had to solve the bottom then the middle. but i learned. it took me 2 days of many trials and errors to solve the bottom layer and complete it.
now i want to time myself.
I've bought a Rubik Cube because I thought it was cool, and it even improves your way of think. The first day I was so exited but couldn't figure out how to solve it. The next day I followed a guide on the Internet and it was done. But in a week, I've learned all the algorithms to solve it on your own and it's amazing! Right now after 3 weeks, my record is 55'' and my average is 1'20''. It's a fun game and it's better of playing something on your smartphone. So buy a Rubik's Cube and have fun!
I've always found it fascinating watching people solve rubiks cubes (wow, I sound so cool right now) because I didn't understand how they could possibly know the solution to all the combinations. When I went on a maths summer school, I think I was one of a handful who couldn't solve a rubik's cube. Okay okay that's hardly something to shed tears over, but it did inspire me to learn how to solve one (is it possible I sound even cooler?) because surely I could solve one if they could! I simply followed tutorials on youtube and practised, and once you've learnt it's surprisingly easy. Now I'm trying to get my time as quick as possible (I'm not very fast, takes me about 4 minutes). I even carry my cube in my handbag now (no NOW I sound cool). One of my friends has bought my a 7x7 cube for my birthday which I'm looking forward to solving too (I'm officially the queen of cool).
1st yr HS
It'e been decades since I've done it, but at one time I could solve a completely jumbled cube in about 35 seconds. Yeah, go me ;)
By following a simple set on instruction on https://ruwix.com/the-rubiks-cube/how-to-solve-the-rubiks-cube-beginners-method/ I was able to learn to solve the cube. Know its just a challange to remember it for life.
Yeah
I learned how to do this long before the Internet was even a thought.

New goal: learn to do it in under 5 minutes.
You impress a lot of people when you learn! Practice it a lot after you find out how to solve it ;)
It was cool by looking at Feliks Zemdegs solving the cube. I want to be a good rubiks speed cuber of sub 20
Inspired by Feliks Zemdegs and valks matt :D
My friends and I sat in a circle while learning this, it was a blast
