Took a class, got my permit.

Want a bike, but we have too much going on.  Went for a 50 mile ride - it was amazing!  Haven't done it a lot, as I don't have easy access to a bike... but I want to buy a motorcycle (that too is on my list).

I took the course alone and without telling anyone ahead of time. It was thrilling and scary at the same time. I need to take the class again before I go shopping for a bike. Yeah.

It has the most exilerating thing i have done in quiet a while!  there were moments of roller coaster emotions from fear, to i think i can do this, to i know i can do this, to oh my god why did i decide to do this! to down right crying inside with fear.

My MSF coarse rider/coach was amazing (richardson tx) i was the only girl in the class and I did better than some of the guys that was in the class.  It was amazing they coach and some of the other students were cheering me on.  I don't know why the hell i took so long to do this i feel like a dang fool for not doing it sooner all the years wasted.  we had class for half a day and went out to the lot to learn how to ride and within 30 mins i was riding! what in the hell was i waiting on! now now now my first ride in a straight line i screamed with fear and stopped half way lolol but my coach was very soft voiced with me and pushed me to come on and i did it! and i have been riding since with confidence they next day i was going through cones and turning corners even some of the guys said he took kim....somebody who never even touched a motorcyle and she is riding.

they gave me a certificate to take to the dmv to by pass their riding test and to only take the reading test part and i passed with a 90%!! they lady at the dmv said you dont look like the type to ride what made you do it.  i said because life is too short and why not live

One of the first "goals" I was aware of growing up. People kept telling me that "it wasn't something for me" or "I wasn't that type of girl"... But after a former co-worker (10years older and with 100 years worth of life experience!) told me that was nonsense, took me for a ride on the back of his green Ninja, I was sold.Signed up for my very first lesson just after my 21st birthday and haven't looked back since.

New people just react surprised when they find out I ride a motorbike and by now I've learned to enjoy their surprise instead of being irked by it... http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l35/simplykaar/me%20myself%20and%20such/530425_10150663891091186_1935435971_n.jpg

It's been a while ago since I've done this but I wanted to add it anyway since it is the ONE thing that I did do for myself despite other peoples "better judgement" and it made me happy. It teaches me to listen to my own heart instead of to my surroundings, something I keep forgetting to do.

M. Bennett put it all together and we spent two full days at the motorcycle safety class with Full Throttle Academy in Thornton, CO.

It was fun, challenging and hysterical. We both passed and received the motorcycle endorsement on our licenses.

Now I have to put Buy a Motorcycle on my Bucket List.

Thanks B!

I rode on the back of my grandad's motorbike with my mum and my grandad, it was a lot of fun and then I got a chance to ride it myself, I definitely want a motorbike in the future.

I think everyone should experience driving a motorcycle.  The wind in your hair, the bugs hitting your helmet, just the joy of being free on the road.

This was something I always wanted to do as a kid, when I was 18 I was finally given the chance by my parents when I recieved a trust fund from them that they had set up from when I was very young. I took my lessons, bought the Aprilia RS125 from a guy in Southhampton with £1650 cash in hand (the most money I had ever held!). My partner at the time Russell and I went via his work van and slept in a hotel over night on the way. I stalled the bike on the test drive! Once bought we loaded it into the back of the van and I had to spend 3 hours holding this bike up that weighed more than myself. Being excited I crashed the bike within a week of having it on black ice escaping with minor injuries. An eventful fun year of riding with the bike, visiting Brighton again before I hazily crashed it again this time being my own fault, not paying enough attention I clipped the curb resulting in a bike flip, fracturing about 12 bones and 6 severe road burns. This time I promised the family I wouldn't return to the bike. Next adventure? To the car!
