Ireland, 2000. We were in second floor, room right above front door.
Think staying over night in a castle is amazing enough? Staying a week in a castle with a theme park, a swimming pool, complimentary scones and cream all included just out the window is even better.
I slept in the keep of the castle. Beautiful town below. Amazing views from all sides and the Rhine below.

Cheap and a castle!!
Stayed in quite a few castles in Germany. Lots of fun, pretty cheap, and would highly recommend it.
I grew up in the SCA. Often, events are held in castles in Europe.
Spent a night at Ballyseede Castle in Tralee, Ireland. Beautiful grounds, gorgeous castle, delicious food, and friendly people!
Kaiserburg Castle in Nuremberg, Germany :)
Completed a while ago at St Briaval's castle.
Castle Toward in Dunoon...twice! Forgot all about it, P7 & S1 with the orcehstra! lol
