This was a few years ago, when I returned to Newfoundland with my family for a few weeks. I was probably only 13. On one particularly hot July afternoon, we decided to load up the boat and have a picnic supper on the beach of a remote island. While my Nan and mom made supper, and my aunt and younger brothers waded in the shallow, clear, Atlantic ocean, my dad, me, Isaiah, my uncle and my Pop decided to explore the thick trees behind us. Unexpectedly we found a waterfall and a small pool of fresh water. It was amazing and totally worth the hike.

During my guiding days in the Northern Territory I had the great pleasure to experience some awesome swimming holes and waterfalls. My favourite was Florence falls in Litchfield National Park, just outside of Darwin. Its so peaceful to sit on the big rocks and swim under the flowing water. A very happy place for me

On the second day, when I was hiking through the jungle of Pak Chong, we found this waterfall. So we put on our swimsuits and swam underneath the waterfall, until the water fell down on our heads.

I was in Costa Rica, and there was this 50 foot waterfal, and I stood under it. It was like getting a massage and taking a shower at the same time. I also repelled down it.

This is the waterfall at Sgwd Henrhyd and it was the only picture that I own of a waterfall but I actually completed this goal elsewhere. In Cumbria, for my year 6 residential, our school took us to Newlands holidays for a week. Apart from Paris, this must have been one of the best school trips I ever went on. On the second day we did an activity called Gyll Scrambling which is where you walk up to the source of a river and come back down through said river overcoming whatever is there (in this case, jumping off waterfalls and standing underneath them, sliding down natural water slides and travelling around a mini whirlpool. I enjoyed this so much (apart from the 30 bruises I collected as part of this!).

I've stood, and bathed under a waterfall for several times now, but this is the only picture I found today. This is at Tumalog falls in Cebu, Philippines.

Did this in Malaysia. Can't remember which part of Malaysia I went though. But it was awesome!

Standing under the waterfall and the water hits your back. A little painful though. The water was cold so I didnt stay in for long.

Laos, waterfall with Adam. It was really slippery going into it and hurt my leg really badly. The water was crystal clear but freezing cold.
