I was fortunate enough to try archery at Sydney Olympic Park Archery Centre, the home of the 2000 Olympic games. It was a fantastic day out and a whole lot of fun. You can read more about it on my blog http://thislifelist.com  at  http://thislifelist.com/2017/03/27/my-archery-adventure/     Another This Life List adventure checked off

I took a couple lessons while I was studying abroad, and I'd love to learn more. I learned that it takes a lot of shoulder muscle that I don't have, but it's very fun and I'd love to practice all day if I could.

i went on a residential trip to Castleton and there we learned how to use a bow and arrow. it was really fun but the thing was the bow was really stiff and strong that it was kind oif hard pushing the string back for the arrow to fly the furthist.

This was actually a little scarier then I anticipated, I was nervous of shooting someone else. I was not very good at it due to this. Will have to try another time when I'm not being such a baby!

Have tried archery a couple of times now, always with recurve bows. It's good fun. I'd like to try compound bows next.

The first rule of archery is the bow is always loaded.

Some friends and myself tried field archery while on holiday at Longleat Forest Center Parcs. I thought I'd struggle, but using one of the children's bows made it easier (the adult bows are almost as tall as me). The whole group had a competition, but knowing we wouldn't do very well in the proper competition my friends and me decided to do a small competition between the four of us, which was really fun. I did really well for my first time, coming second in our little group. I will definitely do it again if I get chance
