Another perk of being the delegate of the Philippines in the ASEAN Youth Caring and Sharing Program is to visit China and get a chance to experience Yunnan University in the province of Kunming and visit different temples and museums! It was very cold in there! I will definitely tour the country next time!

My first big international trip.  Joined by my Mom and traveled with 9 others and our tour guide, Brian, as part of a Small Group Traveler adventure.  The trip covered Beijing, Xian, Hanghou, Wuzhen and Shanghai.

We were on a 11 days holiday in Beijing, it was great! One of the best part of the trip were the friendly people. :) One of the highlights of the trip was when we happened to visit Fauyn Si temple on Buddha's birthday, and got to witness and participate in the traditional celebration and worship.

I loved being in China - walking on the Great Wall was a dream come true. And a cruise on the Yanghee River was magical.

It was so amazing when I went to China in the summer of 4th grade. I am so sorry I don't have any pictures, but I got to see Beijing and Baoding, the town where my grandmother lived and where my aunts, uncles and my mom were born. It was great.

The summer of 2013 my grandma brought me along with her on  a missions trip, this is a tradition she has to bring each of her grandchildren once they were my age (16) to China on a mission trip with her. But what is sad is when I went I wasn't spiritually prepared to tell other people about jesus when I myself wasn't on the right page with Jesus. Besides that fact it was an experience like no other. The Chinese people are really facinated by American people, they seem to think that if we are white we are some sort of celebrity idk but they adored us. I would be walking down the street and they run up to me and be like "Oh! so pretty, can I take picture with you?!" or sometimes they would just try to sneak pictures of you. That was definely different but in my opinion it was cute and funny so I took picture with whoever. Other unique occurences were the kind of food they ate, which is basically anything I didn't run into the stereotyped cats dogs or ants meal but I did try pig feet, duck head all sorts of body animal parts.lol I used theyre sqautty potties which was a bit of a challenge considering the only time I used it i had six inch hills on, not something I'm used to. Lastly, one other thing that stood out to me was that they burp a lot out loud and confident and I thought it was rude but later I came to find out that it is actually a sign of respect complementing the chef. It's interesting how mannerisms differ across the world. This was an unforgettable experience that I was glad to be part of!

So I visited Beijing. I climbed The Great Wall of China, visited temples and went to a street market. I went on a segway ride through the city and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life!

I visited Tenjin, China from 2011-04-03 to 2011-04-28. I will add the photos as soon as I find them. I when to China back in 2011 and believe it are not I spend $1,400 on the ticket and the rest of the trip was free. My friend in Tenjin in Binhai known how much I love China and all the traditional ways of China and being that her and her husband are traditional Chinese they invited me to come and stay with them.

To me that was the best part because as I like to say "when I travel I like to travel like a local". That is what I did. I stayed with them, eat with them, when to the store with them, I went to the fresh air market with them... I did not hit all the hottest tourist attractions I done everything they done in there daily life with them just as if I was a local there. To me that was what made the trip because I got to see China as they see it day after day. The food there was so good and so much better then the Americanized-Chinese food we get in America. It even inspired me to seek out true Chinese restaurants in America and some of the best are off Buford Highwat and I am learning to cook my own Chinese foods. If I ever become will off I desire to hire a professional Chinese cook to work for me cooking true Chinese food for me in my home.

Speaking of food. When I was in China I meet some local friends and they invited me to go eat with them. Will we went to a Karan BBQ restaurant and it was setup much like an Americanized-Chinese buffet restaurant. The main different is the food was all raw and you cooked it yourself at your table. The funny thing is that when I was there I was trying all the foods that I could try because I know I may not get to do this again. When at the Karan BBQ restaurant I was trying all the food then after getting back to America I though to myself "All the labels was in Chinese or Karan at that Karan BBQ restaurant and I speak basic Chinese and no Karan so I have no ideal what I eat there." and knowing the Chinese & Karan diverse customs in there food culture there is literally no telling what I eat that day. I have to go. I will add more and add photos soon.
