I self-published my debut novel 'Reality is in a Dream' in November 2014. It took me a year to write, edit and publish and I am currently writing the second book in the trilogy.

I completed my first book (called "The Entertainment of Love") at 14 years old during NaNoWriMo. It wasn't terrific, but after some editing, things may start to look better. :P

I had this on my list since I was 23. I wrote my first novel through NaNoWriMo 5 years ago, and although it has not been published yet, it is ready for editing. My intent is to publish at least one book.

This is number one on my list. I am actually 2 chapters away from completing my first novel that I have been working on for 10 years. It's the first novel in a series of about 150 books. I'm looking up to see what the longest running series count is. That might be my world record to break anyways. LOL!!

*Update* I completed this back in June and it is up on Lulu.com with the name Mission: Projects!! Check it out! It's available for e-book reading as well! :)

Finished my novel, the Scarecrow, in 1998 and was rejected by more than twenty publishers. My plan is to make some minor changes to the book and attempt once again to get it published.

My interest in writing has always been there since schooling days. But during those days, even though I enjoyed writing, it was always something that I had to do rather than something that I wanted to do. Though I was not writing in university, I would not say my interest in writing hit a plateau. It is best described as my interest in writing was broadened to a different world. Influences from novels and movies increased my interest in the art of storytelling but it also gave me more depth and understanding towards it. Yet I was still not writing.

I started writing on my own somewhere in 2009. I started writing novels whenever I had a brand new idea. But never manage to finish any of it. I also started writing a blog. Having around five unfinished novels in my laptop made me really unhappy. I really wanted to complete a novel. Hence I added this goal to my Bucket List. More than a year passed with no progress.

Then came 3rd January 2014, when I came across a Malay novel writing competition by MPH Bookstores. I saw the details of the competition on MPH’s official website. The target was set. I had to finish my novel by 17th February 2014. That was the deadline. The deadline pushed me to work hard. With only 45 days left I tried writing almost every day. Some of the days were fruitful, meanwhile there were days with zero words. I came up with a new plot which had nothing to do with my existing novels. It was a busy and tiring 45 days, yet I enjoyed every second of it.

On the 17th February 2014, my first novel “Di Ambang Penemuan” was completed. I was really happy, and there was an added bonus too. I manage to win second prize in the competition and landed a book publishing deal with MPH. It turned out to be something amazing. Not only I manage to complete one of my bucketlist, but my first novel itself is getting published. I was really happy.

I have been working on this novel for years, but I finally participated in NanoWriMo and finished it. I am in the process of editing, but once that is done I want to put it out there. It is definitely worth it to just trudge through the obstacles and write!

Hah, funny story. I am a HUGE writer, and I think I wrote my first "novel" when I was 7. Needless to say, it was awful. I mean I've never published it or anything (dought anyone would publish it) but I think I've written two novels (they're both decent) and am in the middle of another. And of corse I've written the begining of stories and gotten bored and just written the climax... everyones done that. :)

Two romance novels. The first, I've been writing since 2002 and the second, I began in 2013.

I find creative writing quite difficult - probably because I am more accustomed to technical writing - and as such, my progress has been painfully slow. However, perserverence IS yielding results....now if I could only stop going over what I've written and making changes all the time....

I look forward to printing and binding 1 copy of each and keeping them on my bookshelves; I don't intend them to be for public consumption.
