It happened just out of the blue. I was walking on the street at Patan Dubar Square in Kathmandu in a day of Holi (you know, when people are throwing powders with different colors to each other) in 22 of March 2016. And next to the road I found a newly created concrete surface on the ground. So I grab a thin stick and draw my name into it. That's it. Then I jump into the celebration of Holi. I went one week later back to the spot and the concreted surface was covered by bricks. The punch line is that this spot is exactly in the front of the famous Buddhist Golden Temple front gate, so from now the ancient temple and my name in the concrete are aging together.
To fortify this bucketlist point I have written my name into another concrete surface too: into my friend's friend's garagewall, also in Kathmandu while I was working on my other, more important mission: plant a tree in every country where I enter.
Wrote our names in the cement of the new driveway at our house in Miami.
I wrote my own name, but I don't remember the exact date. It was fun :) !!
walking home from highschool, wrote my name i think
I did this when I was a younger, and it was so much fun, as I remember it. My dad grabbed some bricks abandoned in a forest and made random patterns with them in our backyard sidewalk. We wrote things and put my cat's paws in the extra cement surrounding the bricks. It's still there today. It's a great activity for all ages :)
Wrote my name on our home wall :D
Wrote my initials in the sidewalk on the hill overlooking the western city.
Put my handprint into wet cement at my old house in NJ.
When Carol and I wrote our names in the slab of cement in front of Abuelo's house :)
I did this when I was younger and my family was having a new foot path built.
