It is ironic tha the person with a heights issue would choose something so open and in the air, but after a quick cry on the first line, I was good to go. The highest tree on the course was 280ft tall. The zip line course was located in northern California in the redwoods and the scenary was beautiful. Eventually, after the third line, I got brave and looked down while zipping! One of the harder parts ended up being the rope bridges to get from some lines to another. This was the first part of my bachelorette party adventure and it was amazing!

I've actually done this a few times.

My first time was across a lake in NY during a school trip.

The next few times after that was in the Philippines in the forest, on the beach, and in the city.

The city one took place in Cebu, Philippines. I did it from one city tower to the next. It was thrilling. They left me flip upside down as I went down the zip line so I tried it. It was a lot of fun, but I think I scared my family when I did it...

Being not much of a risk taker, I never realized I wanted to do this goal.  However, going to Jamaica this spring with my son and his friends, one of the excursions was to go on a Jamaican bobsled and a zipline down a small mountain.  This one I accomplished - I almost didn't, however.  There was a group of 12 people all in the required helmet, and zip line apparel strapped to our bodies.  6 of the people were from our group - my son, his girlfriend, his girlfriend's mother, his girlfriend's best friend and her father, and me.  Several people had started the journey with the help of the guide, but I chickened out.  I am afraid of heights, and afraid to let go.  After the other group of 6 went, the guide told me that he could go behind me to hold on to me.  I decided to take the risk and went, screaming at the top of my lungs, but I did it!  It was exhilerating and breath-taking.  I'm very proud of myself.  Several of my mom friends, back at the boat, said they would never have done it.  I would have regretted it my entire life if I hadn't done it.

Accomplished! - May 2009 in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico with Shawn and Alli.

We went to Puerto Vallarta for our graduation trip despite the swine flu scare, because we had planned it for so long, and had a chill, drunk beach week! This was one of the main activities we were excited about, and definitely had a blast :)

All of us zip-lined upside down at least once, and in the end had a race, which I totally kicked Alli's ass in.

Would like to do the longer ones in South America one day!

There was a zip line at my grad nite for high school. My best friend and I got let in early since her mom runs grad nite and my mom was in charge of the games and entertainment, including the zip line. We got to ride it a solid 7 or 8 times straight until other people found it and started to get in line.
