When the Olympics came to the UK in 2012, my family decided to try to get tickets for events, especially as we live about an hour away from the Olympic park. We saw a whole load of amazing events, including handball and hockey. 

We also brought along our GB flag, and took pictures with as many people who had flags with them from other countries, which was such a fun and special idea. 

The overwhelming feeling I experienced over the period was one of unity and community - even though all our countries were competing against each other. Such a great and special experience!
