I just love the smell of natural lavender, so would really enjoy walking through a field full of lavender. I also keep some lavender plants on my balcony and make my own lavender oil of them (which has many health benefits and can be used for multiple things).
Some of the most important health benefits of lavender include its ability to relieve stress, improve mood, promote restful sleep, reduce inflammation, lower skin irritation, prevent infections, eliminate dandruff, and soothe stomach bloating.
Fragrant lavender fields bloom from June to August in the Luberon, around the Mont-Ventoux, in the region of Sault and that of Valréas; such amazing scenery and atmosphere make the lavender fields one of the summer Must-Sees in Provence.
This blue gold has been used for a long time to make soap and cosmetics; it is also part of the Provençal cuisine and lavender honey and lavender sorbets are worth a taste!
