I worked 50 hours at the wildlife rescue working with primarily birds whereas tortoises needed less care. It was hard work where mostly I was cleaning poo which was bad at first but I thought nothing of it to the end as it was necessary, feeding them and helping with the charities paperwork. Though it was not the kind of experience I had expected it has toughened me up and brought me to the retaliation especially seeing animals with injuries and ones that need close medical attention that charities like the one I went to were struggling to stay open and really needed the help so I was happy to put in triple the hours I had meant to do. Working in a Wildlife Centre does not mean you get to play with cute animals all day.
