My goal was to do this during a working week specifically as it’s easy enough to do it while on holiday! Well, I was a good wee lass and went to be early enough to get my recommended 8 hours before having to get up for work, and what did I find?
- I was still tired when I woke up in the morning ... I don’t know, I must need more than 8 hours!
- I was definitely less sluggish during the day though.
- It was a great feeling waking up during the night, looking at my clock and seeing I still had multiple hours to go go before my alarm was due to go off; normally it’s only a few minutes, and that’s one of the worst feelings!
- Perhaps I need to look at ways to improve the quality of my sleep; I used an app called ‘Sleep Cycle’ which analysed my sleep, and it detected that I do wake up at least 4 or 5 times at night.
All in all, an OK experience, but as I said, I think I need more than 8 hours, but I really don’t want to shorten my days anymore!
