Though interior decorating originally thought to be just a fun project I took it take it a step further by taking an online course (MOOC) which was an eye opener on creating a portfolio and using a computer-aided drawing softward (CAD). I downloaded FreeCAD in the end as it does everything that most payed for CADs do. Using youtube videos I learnt more on how to use this essential programme.
I have given myself projects of designing 'dream rooms' creating a design manual with detailed descriptions and notes on where I found my inspirations. My style is one I believe to have created- 'A Rustic World Traveller' . I think myself to be a practical person so ergonomics is the most important aspect to all my designs.
Here is a desciption of my specialised style:
With sofistication throughout reflecting worldly influences creating harmony with loud splashes of colour and themes that flow into statement rooms to encourage an environment of creativity, fun, learning, relaxation, comfort and a respect for heritage through reimagining with modern ideals.
I have put so many hours into research, created so many folders and design boards that I believe I have really embraced this skill. Though I am not persuing a future in interior design I will offer my help to friends and family so I can continue my inspirations.
