With multiple kids living in a household a Build-A-Bear experience is almost non-existant even though you sometimes hear others get to do so. As a result I have always wanted to try it and see the magic behind it.
At this age the magic is probably a bit of a stretch, especially as the selections at the stores are really limited and the prices so high. When I asked the team members at the store for help on finding the one I wanted they said they didn't have it online or in stock even though I had just seen it online not that many days ago.
Disappointed I ended up leaving without getting anything and was told in another shop that you can order the skin online then go to the store to get the stuffing put in. I thanked the person for the information then put it away.
About a week ago and after the alpaca farm I found the one I wanted online again. After telling my husband he told to go ahead and get the little guy. And since I have always wanted the heart beat I chose to add that as well on my one splurge for build-a-bear while at the same time bypassing the store fill-up since of their non-help.
Yep the magic was lackluster but I can see how children would enjoy getting to choose a friend and being able to fill them up then walking out of the store with their new best friend. As for me and my Ferdinand we will do just fine.
