This was definitely a learning experience on so many fronts for us. First of all we wanted to do a trip that would stay in KCMO as that was where most of our trip was planned on being but as we were only carrying money around for a hotel room almost nowhere would accept us.
As a result we only got one item on our planned list done after abandoning the search and chose to instead go another route by leaving the city for dinner at a place my husband wanted to go, which was three hours away, while hoping to find a hotel on the way. As a result we ended up in the Ozarks.
Fortunately on the way out of town we did find a hotel that accepted cash even though they wanted a deposit and was probably a lot more cheaper than what we would have been paying. Tired we turned in for the night with a bunch of adventures in our belts and the knowledge of how to tackle hotel rooms in the future.
The pictures are actually from the second hotel we ended up renting for a few hours as my hubbie was falling asleep on the road. It was cheap but nice for its needs while a few months later we would finally learn about being able to request for a later check-out time than the usual one given to all.
