I just did this for my bday at Adventure Aquarium in Camden, NJ. I didn't do much "swimming" per say, as they have ya kinda tucked in a corner hiding behind a little reef inside the shark tank. If one of the sharks gets too close to the reef, there is a guy there that nudges them away with a pole. There are 3 types of sharks in there and are considered "not too aggressive" lol whatever that means. So, it's relatively safe. It was pretty interesting to be in the same water with these creatures and gave me an adrenaline rush...but then it gets boring after while, because all they do is swim in circles. The coolest part was being in the stingray pool afterward, where you can feed the rays and they climb all over you like kittens. I probably wouldn't do this again, unless a friend wanted me to go to keep them company, as I try to avoid doing the same thing twice. But I would recommend this for anyone who wants to try it just once. It's not as scary as it sounds. You also get a free t-shirt that says "Shark Chum", 1 free picture, free snorkel kit, and admission to the aquarium and parking included. The aquarium is beautiful, and has lots of cool animals to look at, including hippos, penguins, and seals. You can also pet little stingrays and small sharks in the children's area. Very cool place to go for a daytrip!!
