In an attempt to break free from the fast paced life, I am going to unplug for 48 hours from all forms of media. Phone, computer, tv, radio... At first when considering this, I thought, "Oh I can do that!" I will just plan it for a couple of days that I know I will be busy and distracted with some other plans to make it easy." Then I realized that it defeated the purpose for me to just get back to simplicity for a little bit. Whether my time will be spent checking things off my project list, sightseeing or just finding a place of serenity is yet to be known. I do know that no matter what I choose to do, I won't be updating my status, checking my email or texting. :)

*DONE! This is one item that I was so thankful to be inspired to add and then check off of my list. I spent a little over 48 hours in complete serenity with no tv, no phone, no computer, no radio, NOTHING but me and the wonderful environment of First Beach in La Push, Washington. Many thanks to the Quileute Tribe for welcoming my family and I and providing such an unmatched experience of tranquility. Not only did I find myself not yearning  for the "noise" of the outside world, I actually did not want it to end at 48 hours. I highly recommend everyone giving this a shot. You might be amazed at the peace you find!
