Arrived at the campsite in the middle of the night and woke up surrounded by rocks jutting into the sky. Amazing. Hiked Vernal Falls - not too wet in November. Hiked to Mirror Lake - smaller than i thought, but the reflection was really beautiful. El Capitan and Half Dome are the visual stunners you would expect. Yosemite is surprisingly compact and you can practically drive up to a parking lot close to many of the main falls like Bridalveil and Yosemite Falls. Of course if you are into getting away from the crowds do not go in the summer and opt to hike farther from the parking lots to get your own slice of quiet paradise and maybe even camp there. Even visiting in early November there were crowds in all the parking lots. I can't even fathom how the roads and the lots handle the crush during peak season.
