Every culture has a fried dough. Thai's eat it in the morning with condensed milk. Native Americans have fry bread (great for tacos). But New Orleans' Cafe DuMont has the Beignet. Light, delicious. I hear Cafe Beignet is better. We'll see the next time I am down there!
