I can't actually remember the date I helped this little old lady, but it was a few months ago. I was walking back from the gym and it was a hot day. I saw an elderly woman with a walker and she was leaning against a brick wall in the harsh mid day sun and she looked lost. Everyone walked past her but I stopped and asked if she needed help. Turns out she was lost, and her son that she was with had wandered off as he has a mental disability. She was hot and thirsty. I walked her to a shaded part of the road and gave her some water from my drink bottle. I then chatted and waited with her for around 45 minutes for a taxi to come and collect her. She was a lovely woman and it made me realise that leaving the home and going grocery shopping is sometimes a huge task for some people. I am healthy and able to do many things, some people struggle with basic tasks, and it's good to help people when you can.
