Took a boat ride out and circled around the statue but couldn't go up on the island for they were restoring it. It was very magical for I couldn't believe I was seeing THE Statue of Liberty.
I gave the rating a 4 for I couldn't physically touch or stand on the statue's island but the nice little facts here and there on the boat ride was nice.
Look around for good deals if you are a tourist. We got bugged by a tourist attraction ticket seller and we got a good deal to go up to the top of the Empire State Building, get a free bus ride, and see the Statue of Liberty on a free boat ride.
The boat ride was very neat. Not only did we see the Satue of Liberty but we also saw Leonardo DiCaprio's former apartment and right down the street was where the Titanic was supposed to dock (it is now a golfing range). We also went under famous bridges and saw where the plane landed in the Hudson a few years ago.
But watch out, we were charged way more than we should have with the attraction ticket seller.
