We were on a snorkeling trip with Colona Divers in the Red Sea on a holiday to Egypt when we saw a turtle.

We had been snorkeling for quite a while and due to choppy sea conditions and poor visibility we weren't seeing much. I was just about to get back onto the boat a bit disappointed when my husband Alex decided to stick his head under one last time and there grazing along the bottom was a turtle!!!

It was absolutely amazing and so lovely to see in the wild and we spent some time just watching it and taking some photos as we swam along keeping our distance.

I wish I could take the credit but our snorkel guide took my camera and got the amazing up close photo by free diving.

I feel very privileged to have been able to see this amazing creature in its natural environment
