There are so many cool things to do in London but it has always seemed both an intimidating but not culturally stimulating city...However, there are things I really want to see.

I had to test my theory.

Travelled as a solo traveller for two days to London this week. Spent both days in a tourist haze but yet felt very comfy there. It is a welcoming city and while it was a public holiday there, there were tonnes of tourists around, tonnes of activity and atmosphere.

Visited so many places, Buckingham Palace, Hyde Park, Parliament Buildings, Churchill Museum, Westminster Abbey & Big Ben, St. James' Park, did a Thames river Cruise stopping at Shakespeare's Globe theatre, Tower of London, walked the Tower Bridge, went to see Les Mis in the West End. In one day I used 8 modes of transport from when I left my home at 5.30am to arriving back at hotel at 11.30pm

Day two was more relaxed, I got slightly detoured by my lack of sense of direction in the Marylebone area but it was so beautiful I didn't care. Went to Baker Street, home to Sherlock Holmes, Oxford St, Harley Street, Marble Arch, Paddington Station to meet the world famous bear, King's Cross to platform 9 3/4 and then back to Ireland from St. Pancras...which has whet my appetite for getting the Eurostar!!

Overall, London is amazing and I'll be going back for more. Def more shows and a trip on London Eye and many other areas which I didn't get to!!
