The Eiffel Tower was probably the first real world-renowned icon I ever visited in my life (outside of Australia that is). The first time I saw it in person it was night and it was lit up and was awe inspiring. I kissed a boy at the bottom of the Eiffel Tower that night, but he was a boy and I wasn't love, therefore there is another thing on my current list that I cannot cross off just yet ...
We went back the next day and took the glass elevator to the top. It was a beautiful clear day and you could see for miles. I ate a Snickers ice cream bar up there. Within a certain distance of the Tower the code enforces builders to use a certain type of materials and not to build more than five stories high so the panoramic view is not "ruined."
It was breathtaking.
