This was a huge goal, triggered by the pain of seeing my father retrenched when I was 12 years old. I decided then that education would be my best chance at freedom. It was a long journey - school, uni, part-time study and years of work experience. Then last year, I presented my work and ideas to almost 300 peers at our annual convention. It felt like I had achieved a level of professional recognition. Of course I can do more; and this is just "Part One" of a lifelong goal to learn and grow. However it feels like my education is now sufficiently strong that I can stop worrying about not having enough to eat one day. And that is a bucketlist item I wish for everyone.
