We did this at longleat whilst visiting family in the UK. It was amazing to see them that close and they seem to be very docile creatures.

If there's a beach and Im there, at some point I'll be on a jet ski; it never gets old!

When I worked in europe, we adapted our property and took in often as many as 8 rescue dogs at a time, employing staff to help with walking, feeding, cleaning out their accomodation. It was very rewarding but also quite heartbreaking to ...

It took me 2 attempts to pass my bike test, but Im glad I did it because even though I no longer ride bikes, it was fun while it lasted!

I dont think I would have gotten to do this if I didnt travel so much for work. But I have and my everlasting impression is that the world is both much larger than most people comprehend, but in some ways much smaller. People are the sam...

I always wanted to scuba dive but extreme claustraphobia prevented me taking the plunge... Finally got around to doing it in Greece with the help of a very patient instructor. A lifelong ambition achieved and the beginning of a new hobby...

New york is impressive, but really not my kind of town! I love the buzz, but sooner or later I think a lot of people crave something a little less mad.

Ive been involved in aviation related activities since my first air experience flight at 13 through the air training corps when I was able to - briefly - take the controls and perform coordinated turns. I graduated from P2 to P1 on singl...

Skinny dipping is only fun if you're doing with someone else (of the opposite sex in my case - your mileage may vary!). So far, done it in most countries that Ive visited, leading to claims that each country has its own loch ness mon...

Too many to list and too proud and discreet to name-drop. Not all of them were very nice though, it should be said!

My best friend of some 20+ years is chinese canadian....so whenever we visit a country together, he has already identified the best place to get authentic chinese food long before we arrive! One visit, not long after we met, he took the ...

LA was really nice, but I definitely prefer SF. LA has a very energetic vibe, has lots to see and do and the people - whilst not as friendly as native SFcans - are helpful and friendly.

You dont live on the west coast of the US and NOT fly over the grand canyon if you have a pilots license and friends to act as navs and guides; their local knowledge turns work into fun!

Every year since I can remember.... Christmas isnt christmas without romance; however fleeting!

Driving through paris in a 4x4 with glider trailer is a daunting experience (but still not as bad as driving through athens). I would recommend getting a taxi instead! Paris itself is an amazing place though and is a must-have on anyones...

First bungee jump was by chance. Went to a halloween party at Longleat and they had the "cunning stunt company" there offering jumps. Much to the surprise of my girlfriend and friends, when challenged to do it, I took them up o...

Stayed in venice for about a week while I was travelling around europe. Lovely at night, wonderful food, friendly people.
  • Jan 19, 2015

Done in Spain, Greece, Italy and the US. Not really for excitement, but very relaxing and a great way to spend an hour.
  • Jan 19, 2015

Travelled all round the UK, including Ireland, Scotland and Wales. Prefer "old" towns and villages to the newer purpose built ones.

Far too many concerts to list, but almost always the vibe is good. Less inclined to go to rock and pop concerts now and definitely leaning more towards classical. In addition to the concerts I've already been to, I would like to see ...

Two romance novels. The first, I've been writing since 2002 and the second, I began in 2013. I find creative writing quite difficult - probably because I am more accustomed to technical writing - and as such, my progress has been pai...

Picnics are always fun. Aside from the fresh air and an excuse to eat lots of unhealthy finger foods and exotic salads, there is something fundamentally wholesome about eating in a primative way; on a blanket on the grass or sand, by a r...
