It was an amazing experience, to stay inside one of these igloos with a chance of seeing the Northern Lights. Sadly it was too cloudy to see the Aurora but it was lovely and warm inside the igloo.

Our reindeer was called Kääpiö, which means Midget in Finnish. We had the ‘runt of the litter’ pulling us. The ride itself was quite bumpy as Kääpiö kept going rogue and off the rest of the path.

It was really quite relaxing. I travelled 14 hours through the night from Helsinki to Rovaniemi.  The rocking motion of the train helped with sleep although the walls were thin and you could hear people talking.
