I am 33 years old. In August 2011 I was diagnosed with a rare & aggressive form of sarcoma that was unfortunately very advanced and is going to cut my life short prematurely. I decided to stop my first round of palliative chemotherapy in January 2012 and get on with living my life including a return to my work as a doctor. The Bucket List has become a huge part of maintaining a positive attitude for both my husband Chris and me, but it is also creating many lovely memories for my family and friends that are not connected with my illness. I work part-time as an acting Consultant in Elderly Medicine and live with Chris in Wakefield. Some of my favourite things to do are cooking, baking, entertaining, playing my flute, cinema, theatre, walking, embroidery, charity fundraising and watching cricket. I am also an author having written The Other Side and The Bright Side detailing my experiences of illness. I am currently working on book number three...
